Dr. Caroline Tharakan

Caroline Tharakan is a UK-trained General Dentist with a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, known for her calm approach, meticulous attention to detail and ability to make patients feel instantly at ease. She holds an MChD/BChD in Dental Surgery and a BSc in Oral Science, graduating with first-class honours from the University of Leeds. She is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry with Tipton Training, one of the leading programs in the UK.

With experience across multiple private practices and emergency clinics in the UK, Dr. Caroline has developed a strong, adaptable clinical skill set. She treats a wide range of cases, from routine dentistry and cosmetic enhancements to full-mouth rehabilitations, prosthodontics and urgent dental care. Her work spans busy emergency settings, high-pressure NHS practices and boutique private clinics, giving her deep insight into patient needs, communication styles and delivering quality care under any circumstance.

Dr. Caroline has a strong interest in smile design, minimally invasive dentistry and comprehensive treatment planning tailored to each patient’s goals. Her experience includes aesthetic restorations, crowns and bridges, dentures, oral surgery, Invisalign treatments and full smile makeovers. She places a strong emphasis on patient engagement, ensuring every person understands the “why” behind their treatment and feels empowered in their oral health journey.

Beyond her clinical work, she has contributed to dental research, including a published article in the British Dental Journal exploring global and oral health during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also presented complex restorative cases at national student conferences and continues to be active in ongoing education and professional development.
